28 FEBRUARY
ERMUTT (live)
Duo composed by Lorenzo Rinaldi and Mattia Parisse and born in 2021, through improvisations and arrangements of texts written in the past. The two decide to abandon the idea of "cosmetics" in the song, opting for a most elementary approach, in order to transmit the simplicity and dynamism that characterize their music. They are passionate about the stories and roots of old-time folk music and the genres born from the fusion of European musical traditions with those of the United States.
Their practice is based on a prolific production of songs, designed to be performed live and eventually recorded while maintaining the spontaneity with which they are created. Despite their different backgrounds, the two meet in the radicality of thought: on the one hand, that resulting from the studies of experimental electronic music, and on the other, that of the literary and poetic field to which the song has always aspired.
COCAPUMA (live)
Cap always lowered on the eyes, metropolitan attitude and resonant soul of Nature, Coca Puma is a kind of urban fairy able to illuminate every object on which he sets his artistic gaze. A demiurge who draws sound architectures with the freedom of an abstract painter, an antenna that captures the humors of the forest or asphalt and reverberates them in a new musical cosmogony.
Class 1998, Roman, Coca Puma is the moniker of Costanza Puma, eclectic artist of nu-jazz training that moves in a hybrid and atypical horizon, between dream pop, nu-soul, electronic, ambient and post-rock. Ethereal and magnetic, she uses the voice and texture of her productions to build a world of its own. Inner and individual, first of all. Then generational and finally human.
Tireless vinyl collector, she grew up listening to soul and r'n'b, although today she looks more interested in the percussive sound of Joy Orbison and the modern psychedelia of Tame Impala. A deep-rooted passion for Brazilian music and a more recent discovery of electronic music merge in her DJ performances while a strong interest in the relationship between sound and moving image draws her into the production of music for cinema and jingle advertising. He worked on the music of La Rivoluzione siamo Noi, a film by the Istituto Luce Cinecittà that recounts the decade '67/'77, crucial for contemporary art; of Luce sul Piemonte, presented at the Torino Film Festival. During this period, He is also working on the soundtrack for Almost at home, Carolina Pavone’s debut film, produced by Sacher Film, Vivo Film and Rai Cinema.
Several important experiences on stages all over Italy.
NAPOLI SEGRETA (dj set)
NAPOLI SEGRETA is part of something bigger that happens today in Naples. A different spirit that brings together music, literature and image in a new aesthetic, out of the usual clichés about the city. Napoli Segreta is the dj set you haven’t heard yet. A distributed, diffuse, fragmented but unitary cultural movement that moves between the vanguard and the rear. A sound journey through a thousand different Naples, conducted by Discocristiana Family and DNApoli: stories, anecdotes and glimpses of an environment far away yet absolutely current and probably future.
Napoli Segreta is also the name of the compilation, published by NG Records, which collects hidden pearls of the Neapolitan funk and disco discography. An action of rediscovery that seemed anachronistic many years ago, but then became a legend and continued in recent years with Nu Genea. A virus that has grown from hearing to hearing until it infects the planet Earth. The '70s inhaled, '80s poked, '90s eaten and a New Millennium to dance to for anyone with
Clear the concept: «viral» does not necessarily coincide with «mainstream».
1 MARCH
LAMANTE (live)
Lamante is the musical project of Giorgia Pietribiasi, class 99, born and raised in the city of Schio (VI). He started playing and writing music at a young age. He plays various instruments and expresses himself, as well as music, also with writing and visual arts such as photography and painting. Lamante is a singer-songwriter who brings with her expressiveness urgency, pain, anger and atonement. His voice is dark, dry and sharp like the peasant women of his family. Giorgia, with his voice, loves to retrace his origins and family memory. It is a process that takes hold at the age of eight, when she is given a camera and a recording microphone. Still with the same tools of a time, she photographs and records the space, the sounds of the places and the people she lives in. In his texts and, more generally, in his artistic musical vision, there is a desire to make the events of his memory (and sometimes also of a more collective memory) heroic myths, photographs of a human heritage, visual and descriptive texts of an atmosphere (more than a mood), which many would define "matriarchal tribal".
In June 2023, after years of demos, self-produced music and concerts, she opens her own channel on digital platforms and publishes "L'Ultimo Piano" the song that took her to the final of the 34th edition of Musicultura Festival, with which she won the Nuovo Imaie prize. The song opens the way to a new musical project, produced by Taketo Gohara (sound designer and arranger who, in his long career, has collaborated with artists such as Mauro Pagani, Vinicio Capossela, Verdena, Stewart Copeland, Edda, Brunori Sas and Motta) and distributed by Artist First. In July 2023 he publishes "Come volevi essere", song describes a particular moment of his life, when the first year of pandemic is evicted, fired and retires from university, returning to live in deep Veneto. The music video of the song shows fragments and memories of his life. On 8 September he publishes the new single "Rossetto", a song that celebrates the suffering and splendid independence towards every place and every person, tracing the path of a nomadism that has accompanied the artist since she was born. To accompany the release of the song, a video written by Giorgia together with Nicolò Bassetto. During the summer of 2023 he gives several concerts around Italy and, on 22/23/24 September opens the concerts of Negramaro at the Arena di Verona. On January 13, 2024 Lamante performs at the night of CBCR Rockit at Arci Bellezza in Milan. On 25 January he publishes "Guerra&Pace" in which he tells his most intimate and fragile sides, always balanced on the razor’s edge. On 21 March, "Our dance rehearsal" is released, a song that talks about departures, but from the point of view of those who stay.
On 9 May, "In memory of" his debut album is released, a powerful record, a journey into the rooms of his life. Eleven songs that seem to be snapshots of a photo album with which he retraces his origins, his memories, his life. The album is accompanied by a video of "Non mi chiamare bella" directed by Nicolò Bassetto. The video is a message that goes beyond the song, it is the expression of the whole album, but also of its cultural heritage. The video wins the PIVI 2024 - Italian Independent Video Award, organized by MEI.
On May 25, the MI AMI Festival in Milan will kick off the summer tour to present the new album, which will continue throughout the summer with participation in important festivals such as La Prima Estate, Mengo fest, Poplar Festival and many others. In September, she is selected for the Up Next Italia program by Apple Music as one of the most interesting emerging voices on the Italian music scene and performs at Apple’s amphitheater Piazza Liberty in Milan. In 2024, he participated with a duet both in the new edition of the album by Levante, "Manuela Distruzione", and in the album "Piccoli fragilissimi film" by Paolo Benvegnù, demonstrating a unique ability to blend his own artistic language with that of great names in Italian music. This year she was also among the finalists of the Tenco 2024 plates in the category "Opera Prima" with her debut album "In memory of" and is currently among the artists candidates for the award "Best Italian album" of the Rockol Awards 2024.
EMMA NOLDE (live)
Emma Nolde was born in Tuscany in 2000. Her debut album "Toccaterra", a finalist for the Tenco Award as Opera Prima, has been acclaimed by critics as one of the most surprising and promising debuts of recent times, recognizing in Emma one of the voices of the future of Italian music. After a very long tour, in November 2021 he collaborated with Generic Animal in the single "a bunch of keys, an umbrella there in the middle" and in 2022 with Zen Circus in "Il diavolo è un bambino".
Also in 2022 he publishes his second album "Dormi", preceded by the singles "Respiro" and "La stessa parte della luna", both co-produced by Francesco Motta who worked with Emma on the production of the whole record.
Two years of intense live and studio activity follow, in which the artist has been able to observe, absorb and prepare for his new album. In 2024 he signed with Carosello Records and released the single "Mai fermi". We add a short distance collaboration with Levante for the ten-year album "Manual destruction" in the track "Nuvola", a tour of numerous dates around Italy with stages in France and Belgium, participation in Uno Maggio Taranto and some important opening acts including the opening at Fabi Gazzè Silvestri at the Circo Massimo in Rome, at Dente at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan and the closing date of the tour by Subsonica at the Circolo Magnolia (Milan). She also publishes the singles "Tuttoscorre" and "Pianopiano!" with which she is chosen by Spotify as face of the international GLOW program. Friday, November 8 releases his third album "NUOVOSPAZIOTEMPO" (Carosello Records).
BASSOLINI (dj set)
Between mantric percussion and Arabic melodies, metropolitan blues and cinematic atmospheres, sound hallucinations, neo-melodic tributes and orchestral discofunk alternate the six tracks - Napoli Visionaria, 'E Parole, Oro di Miele, Città Futura, Malavita and Fuga Finale - of a disc "enigmatically pop, of prog and jazzfunk matrix" as defined by Bassolino himself, a musician influenced by very different artists, from Hermeto Pascoal to Goblin, from Tullio De Piscopo to Franco Califano, passing through Lucio Battisti and Airto Moreira.
First of all, however, Città Futura is a work that proudly claims the affirmation of a "southern" sound, in its sociological meaning, instead of the inflated "Mediterranean" style. Through an inextricable tangle of memory and invention, history and imagination, life and storyboard, the album re-reads and reactualizes in a passionate way the pop culture of the 70’s to try to interpret the present, in the political conviction that it is in the most popular forms of expression that one finds the most authentic photograph of a society. "I am often inspired by philosophy and sociology. Music for me has an explanatory value of a certain historical and social space, it is representation of society" says the artist from Campania, who is an admirer of Gilles Deleuze and Alberto Sordi, Mario Bava and Elio Petri, Monicelli and Sciascia, Volontè and Rodolfo Sonego, as well as Antonioni and the Neapolitan fortune teller Gennaro D'Auria.
