Alessandro Baricco - Una Traviata da cortile

Alessandro Baricco will lead the audience through a surprising new reinterpretation of Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata with Una Traviata da cortile, a narrative and live music show that will take the opera out of theaters and transform it into a collective, immersive, and popular experience. Designed for open spaces and courtyards, the staging deliberately breaks the mold of operatic tradition: there is no longer any separation between stage and stalls, and the audience becomes an integral part of the story. Spectators move through the action, toasting and singing alongside the artists, experiencing Violetta's story as if it were part of a village festival, amidst music, storytelling, and collective participation.

At the heart of the show remain the crucial moments in Violetta Valéry's story: four scenes that traverse love, conflict, humiliation, and finally the death of the protagonist. Among these musical paintings, Baricco intervenes with his narration, restoring the human and contemporary strength of the story.

Standing show

In case of inclement weather, Umbria Green Festival reserves the right to postpone the start of the performance by up to 60 minutes compared to the scheduled time; if conditions improve within this limit, the performance begins. Otherwise, the recitation is cancelled. Once the performance begins, even with a delay, there is no refund of the ticket, even if the show cannot be completed due to weather reasons. Refund is provided only in case of cancellation of the show before the start
