Castello di Gradara - Gradara

Gradara Castle is a medieval fortress located on the top of a hill, dominating the surrounding landscape and the village of Gradara. It is famous for being the site of the tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca, narrated in the Divine Comedy. The fortress is an example of 14th-century military architecture, characterized by massive walls, towers, drawbridges and a 30-meter-high central keep.
