Event information
Umbria Green Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary by presenting, for the first time in Umbria, the book of an extraordinary guest: Francesca Fagnani.
With the rigor of a thoroughbred reporter, Fagnani examines judicial sources, connects facts, reconstructs ancient alliances and recent rivalries that define the criminal geography of the Capital. Mala is a documented investigation, relentless and overwhelming like a TV series on South American drug lords, which reveals who the new masters of Rome are, the city that was said to not want masters.
The author will talk with the magistrate Raffaello Magi and the writer and television author Antonio Pascale
Synopsis from the book “Mala. Criminal Rome”
Peace is over and now the gangs are at war. Under the cloak of great beauty, in the lost and damned underground of Rome, a river of violence flows. Kidnappings, beatings, torture and murders follow one another. The conflict rages, invisible to most people’s eyes. It has been like this since August 7, 2019, when Fabrizio Piscitelli, known as Diabolik, leader of the Irriducibili della Lazio and at the top of the “Ponte Milvio battery,” was killed by a hitman who shot him in the head, while he was sitting on a bench in the Acquedotti park. But Diabolik is just the tip of the iceberg of that network of criminal organizations that govern the territory: a sprawling connection that includes the Michele 'o Pazzo cartel, the historic and emerging underworld, and then the ruthless and powerful association of the Albanians, who grew up in the shadow of Piscitelli and became the Lords of drug trafficking. Thus, revenge is the trigger for a no-holds-barred conflict for the control of the drug dealing areas, from the Ostiense coast to Tor Bella Monaca: a gigantic business in which tons of cocaine move millions. In these pages, voices scream before fading into darkness, guns fire in broad daylight, drugs invade the streets, money is lent at a loser's rate, and debts are always repaid: at any cost and often in the worst possible way.

Teatro Lyrick - S. Maria degli Angeli
The Lyrick Theatre, located in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Assisi, was inaugurated in May 2000. This theater structure emerged from the former industrial chemical department of Montedison, a 1950s project by the renowned architect Morandi, a pupil of the illustrious engineer Pier Luigi Nervi, thanks to the initiative of the American entrepreneur Richard Leach. Considered one of the most modern and fascinating municipal theaters in Italy, the Lyrick Theater boasts a 1000-seat audience and a large stage. For more than a decade, the Lyrick Theater stage has hosted the most acclaimed national and international theater productions. Currently, the theater is under the ownership and management of the Municipality of Assisi. The stalls of the Lyrick Theater have 1000 seats, divided into three sectors.
