“Gli ultimi sarà ultimo” (The Last Will Be Last) A theatrical performance, a bittersweet comedy, based on a play by Massimiliano Bruno and Paola Cortellesi, in turn extrapolated from a story by Vincenzo Fiore. It is not the last who are first, they remain last on the scale of a society that still confuses the verb to be with the verb to have, but those last know how to carve out a space of happiness built on patience, trust, and dreams nourished by love. An hour and a half of performance that sees alternating monologues of characters; all the characters revolve around the story of Luciana, a simple woman who dreams of a dignified life together with her husband. When her belly begins to grow, her world begins to fall apart: she finds herself without a job and makes bad choices. The performance is structured with a succession of monologues in a space-time line to form a story that sees the intertwining of six different characters who seem to be in dialogue with each other. The spectator's feeling is that of seeing 6 people in a single scene at the same time, when in reality each of them is acting individually on stage.
