Biography of Jayadev Jaerschky

Jayadev Jaerschky has practiced yoga and meditation for over 40 years, following the tradition of Paramhansa Yogananda's Kriya Yoga, through his disciple Swami Kriyananda. He has lived and taught at the Ananda Center near Assisi for 35 years. He has taught in numerous European countries and in India, Egypt, Russia, and the United States. He is the director of the European School of Ananda Yoga, where he trains new yoga teachers, and is the author of fourteen books: Yogananda's Yoga; Awakening the Chakras; Kriya Yoga; Paramhansa Yogananda's Energizing Exercises; Breathe and It Passes; and others. He sings passionately and has released two devotional CDs, Cosmic Chants and Love God. Every year he leads a pilgrimage to India, to the sacred sites of the Himalayas. He is a Kriyacharya, authorized to give initiations into the ancient practice of Kriya Yoga.
