John Nemeth

Considered one of the best harmonica players around, a true lover of the small instrument, as well as an excellent singer with "soulful" voice, John Németh is an American harmonica player, singer and author of electric blues and soul. Winner of 5 Blues Awards for "Soul Blues Male Artist", "Soul Blues Album", "Traditional Blues Album of the Year", "Instrumentalist-Vocals" and "Instrumentalist-Harmonica", during his career he received 20 nominations at the Blues Awards, of which the last one in 2025 and five in 2013 alone. Has recorded 12 albums since 2002, having also supported other artists such as Junior Watson , Anson Funderburgh and Elvin Bishop. "His interpretative depth and the apparent simplicity of his approach, soft and consistent at the same time, inscribe it in what has been called by many sides as "third generation", daughter of the array of musicians (from Rick Estrin to Kim Wilson, Rod Piazza, Sugar Ray Norcia, R.J Mischio etc) who, tradition at hand, has been able to renew the instrument with a healthy injection of melody" (Roberto Giuli cit.). Memorable his latest studio album, "Maybe last time" from 2022, made after a jaw surgery that questioned the continuation of his career with his brothers from the West Coast of the Greaseland community, to demonstrate the great solidarity and sharing spirit of the blues community. The intervention was successful and, later, of that experience he said that "the magic of that performance was beyond this world and perhaps the greatest in my life".
