The twentieth century was a century of profound transformations, also and above all in music. In this concert the piano becomes the voice of a multifaceted passion: restless, dreamy, at times tormented, always intense. Through the pages of Rachmaninov, Ravel, Scrjabin, Debussy and Hahn we will listen to how the great composers of the last century have shaped the piano language, uniting tradition and modernity, virtuosity and introspection. From the sound visions of Ravel's Jeux d'eau to the sensual ecstasy of Scrjabin's Sonata no. 2, from Hahn's French refinement to Debussy's emotional landscapes, up to the expressive and dramatic breadth of Rachmaninov's Etudes-tableaux and Sonata no. 2, each piece gives us a different echo and different aspects of the same, universal passion.
