becomes a challenge between men. In this Moby-Dick directed by Guglielmo Ferro,

with Moni Ovadia as the extraordinary protagonist, the theatrical

narration begins on the Pequod, where the tragedy of all the

characters will unfold.

The Pequod is the haunted vessel that leads the crew to perdition. The

golden doubloon on the Pequod's mast and the sailors' blood pact are

the Mephistophelian call to the abyss of ignorance. Ahab is

obsessed with revenge, a wicked man who ignores God, the man

of the beyond and of violation. Starbuck is his alter ego, the voice of

prudence, of conscience, witness to a theocentric vision that

attacks the blasphemy of Ahab's hatred of the white whale. A

conflict placed on the same level, a mirror where original

sin floats... a white whale in a black abyss. And then the mirror

cracks. There is no redemption on the Pequod, only a thick fog.
