The guitar has crossed the centuries, reinventing itself, adapting, thrilling audiences of all ages and historical periods. This concert is a journey through time, to discover its most intimate and refined voice: that of the classical guitar. From the baroque lyricism of Scarlatti to the romantic virtuosity of Tárrega and Coste, from the nineteenth-century brilliance of Aguado to the modern depth of Leo Brouwer, each piece tells us about a different moment in the history of music, with the most disparate expressive modes. The journey also touches on the melancholic poetry of the Paraguayan Agustín Barrios, the passionate warmth of Piazzolla, the evocative suggestions of Andalusia. A concert that is, at the same time, homage and discovery.
