"Noi poveri noi", a brilliant comedy in two acts of the popular genre, performed in the Umbrian vernacular, written and directed by Luca Caciotto.
It addresses the relationship between need and desire, poverty and dream, family and money. The vernacular and domestic situations place the story in a recognizable popular imagination, while the unexpected arrival of wealth becomes a detonator of ancient tensions and new selfishness.
The figure of Grandpa, a silent and lucid witness, witnesses the explosion of fragility and ambition, exposing the vulnerability of relationships.
The result is a comedy that entertains, but that does not give up questioning the viewer about what we are willing to sacrifice in the name of “well-being”.
An affectionate satire on the fate of the poor when money actually knocks on the door.
