This is Speak to me about love, the new production CTB coming to the Teatro Mina Mezzadri in Brescia. Mario Incudine, directed by Pino Strabioli and accompanied by Antonio Vasta on piano and accordion, accompanies us on a journey made of music and words, tenderness and irony, of amarcord and anecdotes. The show is performed by Mario Incudine, written by Costanza Di Quattro and directed by Pino Strabioli. Antonio Vasta on piano and accordion. The sound is by Pino Ricosta, the scenes are by Paolo Previti. A production by Centro Teatrale Bresciano in collaboration with ASC Production and Teatro Donnafugata. Between 1918 and 1940, the Italian musical production had an extraordinary evolution. The birth of radio, which became the main means of fascist propaganda, also contributed to broaden the audience and spread music within Italian homes significantly making it a common and shared "business". If on one side branched music fomented by fascism, megaphone of patriotic feelings, family and tearful, on the other hand spread, in rupture with dictatorial directives, a music from overseas, bright and ironic. Under the table, as clandestine gambling dens, were born swing and jazz that soon became part of an Italian reality that paddles against the current through music. With this show, a cross-section of not only the history of Italian music, but also and above all "homeland history" is on stage. Because music, from always, becomes the paradigm of a nation and a thought. Italy sang twenty years of youth but at the dawn of '45 thundered convinced Bella ciao. Under the guidance of Pino Strabioli, an artist who has always been sensitive to song theatre, the verve and the istrionic ability of Mario Incudine are at the service of a show that also wants to be a tribute to the author’s song of those years, a repertoire not beaten, but rich in charm and beauty, with modern lyrics, unforgettable melodies and audacious harmonies.
