They say that to make someone believe a lie, you simply have to repeat it often enough. They say Ada Cuordoro is guilty of sixty-four scams, defrauding sixty-four men. They say she met them at a Latin music club, seduced them, got them drunk, and swindled them out of one bank transfer after another—precisely when they were no longer of sound mind. *Santa Vergine delle Rose* drifts between confession and performance, between truth and illusion. Ada is the defendant, certainly, but also the narrator—the director of her own story. And the spectator, like the judge, finds themselves following her, doubting, looking for something to hold onto. Yet in the end, when the verdict arrives, only one question remains: do we truly agree? Perhaps we were deceived. But not by Ada—by the play itself. Staging *Santa Vergine delle Rose* means placing the audience in an uncomfortable position, making them feel the sting of injustice firsthand. And above all, it means letting Ada Cuordoro do what she does best: tell her story, without any counter-argument.

Teatro Sociale di Amelia
The Amerino Theater is one of the rare surviving examples of an 18th-century theater built entirely of wood, from the structures to the stage mechanisms still in perfect working order. For this reason, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage has declared it a monument of particular historical and artistic interest.
The Teatro Sociale, until 2020, was owned by the same Theater Society from which it takes its name, founded for its construction. Today, it is owned by the State, which granted it in 2023 to the Cultural Association "Ameria1782 il Teatro delle Art." The theater has hosted all the major works of the Italian and European lyric repertoire, with the participation of great opera singers, as well as symphonic and chamber music performances.
Also worth mentioning is the frequent use of the large stage for filming: it has been calculated that 42 films and television series have been shot here, some of which are very well known to the Italian public, such as The Adventures of Pinocchio by Luigi Comencini with Nino Manfredi (1972) and The Marchese del Grillo by Mario Monicelli with Alberto Sordi (1981).
