TEDxSpoleto 2027 - Ingenium, The Human pace of change

TEDxSpoleto is part of the international TEDx program, created to spread “ideas worth sharing.” The format, inspired by TED conferences, is founded on the belief that the power of ideas can generate change, inspiration, and collective progress.

Organized under a TED license, TEDxSpoleto is now one of Central Italy’s most significant events, bringing together innovation, science, art, business, and humanistic thought within a framework of excellence.

Now in its sixth edition, the event will gather 12 speakers from across Italy—researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, and visionaries—who will share experiences, projects, and ideas capable of inspiring the audience in talks lasting no more than 12 minutes.

The 2027 theme—*Ingenium: The Human Pace of Change*—builds upon the journey begun with “Cambia Verso – Ad Motum Mutandum.” While the previous edition examined the nature of change, this new chapter focuses on its acceleration: the intervals between major human transformations are shortening, demanding a new capacity for understanding, decision-making, and responsibility.

“Ingenium” evokes human ingenuity as a defining characteristic: the ability to imagine, learn, build tools, turn a need into a possibility, and grow through our own inventions. It does not celebrate technology in isolation; instead, it centers on how human beings steer it, inhabit it, and imbue it with meaning.

Human evolution is not merely biological; it is cultural, social, and technical. Our strength lies not in outrunning machines, but in understanding where we want to go, what questions to ask, and what future we can make possible together.

“Cambia Verso – Ad Motum Mutandum” remains the starting point. “Ingenium” represents the next step: from change to an awareness of its speed; from the need to change to the ability to steer that change.
