"A tre voci - Vocal-instrumental Polyphonies between the Late Middle Ages and the Early
Baroque" offers a musical journey spanning three centuries of history,
from the refined medieval polyphonies of the Bolognese manuscript Q16 to the
compositions of Ciconia and Tinctoris, up to the Renaissance inventions of
Ruffo. The program includes a contemporary homage to Alessandro
Scarlatti by Tiziano Citro, continuing with the elegant dances of
Falconieri and the Passacaglia of Eccles, a bridge to the Baroque. A rich
soundscape of color and contrast that brings back the variety and beauty
of an era of extraordinary musical creativity.
