Event information
A grotesque and unsettling theatrical journey that uses satire to dismantle the distortions of power and lay bare the wretchedness of the human spirit. The figure of Ubu, created by Alfred Jarry, returns to the stage in a free adaptation that intertwines the original texts with the visions of William Shakespeare and Dario Fo. Through jeering laughter, play, and the ridiculous, the show offers not merely entertainment but an attempt at collective catharsis: tearing down to rebuild, laughing to lighten the burden of difficult times, and ultimately proposing a "good, urgent utopia" for surviving reality.
Directed by Francesco Facciolli.
