Basilica di San Pietro - Perugia

The Benedictine complex of San Pietro, founded in 966 by Abbot Pietro, stands where already in the 6th century. it was the ancient Cathedral, in a sacred Etruscan-Roman area. From the 10th century the basilica structure with three naves remained. The complex, owned by the Foundation for Agricultural Education, is made up of 3 cloisters that lead to the botanical garden and the medieval garden, the Art Treasures Gallery, the library and the archive, where books, codes and ancient manuscripts.
