In honor of the patron saint of Bastia Umbra (St. Michael the Archangel, celebrated on September 29), the Palio de San Michele has taken place since 1962 from September 19 to 29, a challenge between the four districts of the city with three trials that all take place in Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini, the main square of the city.
