Music is the art of expressing and listening to feelings, in all their nuances. Authentic yoga is also based on deep listening. We gradually learn to truly listen, starting from the body and its most subtle signals. In this silent listening, joy, depth and a sense of complete fulfillment are revealed.

In this session we will begin with a brief introduction, and then immerse ourselves in a traditional yoga practice, in which listening – or awareness – is the fulcrum. It is a gentle and accessible yoga where the real challenge is not physical, but internal, in the ability to truly listen

Biography Jayadev Jaerschky

Jayadev Jaerschky has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 40 years following the tradition of Kriya Yoga by Paramhansa Yogananda, through his disciple Swami Kriyananda. He has lived and taught for 35 years at the Ananda center near Assisi. He has taught in many European countries and in India, Egypt, Russia and the United States. He is the director of the European School of Ananda Yoga, where he trains new yoga teachers, and is the author of fourteen books: Yogananda’s Yoga; Awaken the Chakras; Kriya Yoga; Paramhansa Yogananda’s Energizing Exercises; Breathe and It Goes Away; and others. He sings passionately and has published two devotional CDs, Cosmic Chants and Love God. Every year he leads a pilgrimage to India, to the sacred places of the Himalayas. He is a Kriyacharya, that is, authorized to give initiation into the ancient practice of Kriya Yoga.
