Event information
An exciting journey between sound and silence, light and darkness.
This piano selection offers an intense journey into the romantic and virtuoso soul of Sergei Rachmaninov. Sergei Rachmaninov's Preludes to Op. 23 and Op. 32 are among the most inspired masterpieces in the piano repertoire: a collection of thirteen pieces that reveal the composer's emotional depth and mastery.
Written between 1901 and 1911, these preludes trace a vast landscape of feelings: from the passionate grandeur of the Prelude in G-sharp minor to the meditative stillness of F major, from the heroic momentum of B-flat major to the introspective melancholy of D minor.
In this concert, Francesco Attesti offers a deeply personal interpretation, capturing both the symphonic power and the intimate poetry of Rachmaninov's writing. Each prelude becomes a world unto itself: a fleeting moment of light and shadow, where memory, nostalgia, and hope intertwine.
This recital invites the listener into Rachmaninoff's unique sound world: a place where virtuosity serves emotion and every note speaks with a human voice.
