Il Tenente Colombo

After five years of sold-out in England, America and France and a triumphant Italian tour, back to the theater in Italy the show with the most beloved protagonist ever in the TV shows of the seventies and eighties: the lieutenant Colombo! Prescription: Murder (original title) is a text written in 1962 by William Link and Richard Levinson, acclaimed creators of successful plays and was staged for the time at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco in the same year, the show held Broadway in 1966 with such success and popularity as to stimulate the authors to create a series of episodes for the small screen, aired from 1968.

In the text there are already all the themes and the style of the character of Columbus: a sloppy and clumsy man, who apparently likes to please others and tends to diminish his qualities as an investigator and man, but who in reality is shrewd and ironic, a fine connoisseur of human nature, able to appear and disappear in the most unexpected places and moments with infallible timing.
