A journey into the founding poem of Western culture through the words of Homer. Nicola Gardini restores to the public the musicality and power of the epic text, giving new life to the adventures of Ulysses, between myth, poetry and current events.
Ulysses «with many faces», the melancholy Calypso, and the terrible Circe are brought back to life; Penelope returns to await the return of her husband and Telemachus that of her father, whom she has never known; the Aegean waves continue to wash the shores of the island of the Phaeacians, while Cyclops is once again astonished and blind as he curses his fleeing prisoner. The show is based on the book The Most Beautiful Novel in the World. The Odyssey of Nicola Gardini (Garzanti, 2025).
