In this original theatrical performance, the life of Saint Francis of Assisi is told by an unexpected protagonist: Hunger. She whom Francis “did not suffer, but chose” as his companion, guide, and constant presence that digs into the body to free the spirit.

Five symbolic dishes mark Francis's journey, each linked to a key moment in his transformation, not only spiritual, but profoundly human. On stage, Francis takes the stage, but also telling with him are those who loved him, opposed him, accompanied him: his mother, his father, his friends, his enemies. And above all, she: Hunger, the relentless and poetic narrator, who becomes flesh and word.

It's a journey of the senses that intertwines food and words, memory and vision, to construct an intimate, vivid, and choral portrait of the Saint who chose poverty as an act of love for the world. An experience that confronts us with our own emptiness, our hunger—not only for bread, but for meaning, for truth, for freedom.

Because, as Hunger says: to truly understand Francis, you have to pass through there. From the body. From the silence. From the vertigo of renunciation.
