A Crooked Airplane is a theatrical tale that combines memory and history, inspired by the master experimenter Carlo Piantoni, who transformed a small Umbrian school in the 1950s into a place of freedom and imagination. In a time when everything seems already decided, children learn to look at the world with new eyes, to believe that even an imperfect airplane can fly far.
Through voices, music, and memories, the past comes alive again: imagination clashes with daily toil and distrust of what is different, but finds strength in the courage of those who dare to change perspective.
At the heart of the show is a simple and powerful idea: education is not about imposing rules, but about igniting visions, cultivating freedom, and instilling trust in what is born fragile. It is a tribute to the power of art and the transformative force of teaching.

Teatro Manini - Narni
The Municipal Theater of Narni is located at the end of Via Garibaldi, in front of the building that housed the Cassa di Risparmio. Designed by the architect Giovanni Santini, it was inaugurated in 1856. The Manini is a classic "Italian-style theatre" with three tiers of boxes - 17 per row - a gallery, an auditorium and has a capacity of 300 seats. The theater hosts a continuous series of events including concerts, theatrical performances and prose.
