Pierluigi Coppola, Caroline Baglioni e Filippo Ciccioli

 (Ritual for Two Absinthes) is an immersive dramaturgical and sensory experience that blends the decadent poetry of Charles Baudelaire, live music, and the ritual tasting of two authentic, artisanal absinthes. The voice of Pierluigi Coppola and the soundscapes of Filippo Ciccioli weave together ten poems selected from *Le Spleen de Paris*—recited by Caroline Baglioni—with the tasting of two fine absinthes.

Pierluigi Coppola is an actor, performer, *absintheur*, and co-creator of ÆTHERIA. Born in Foligno in 1977, he trained in theater at Beatrice Bracco’s Acting Center in Rome, honed his skills with Michael Margotta, and deepened his understanding of *Commedia dell'Arte* techniques at the SIAC International School under master Antonio Fava.

Having established himself in the Italian television and film landscape, he has played significant roles in renowned productions such as *Elisa di Rivombrosa* (as Angelo), *Distretto di Polizia*, and *Le ali della vita*, as well as in the feature film *Il sangue dei vinti*, directed by Michele Soavi.

Alongside his acting career, Coppola has pursued a rigorous path of research into artisanal mixology across Europe and New Zealand. A member of the *Académie d’Absomphe* (Italian Association for the Protection of Absinthe) and an expert on the imagery surrounding Symbolist poets, he has combined his passions for theater and food and wine by creating the ÆTHERIA line of artisanal absinthes (produced in Camerino in partnership with C&E Italian Distillery). He also devises performance formats that blend literature, soundscapes, and olfactory-gustatory experiences, and presents masterclasses and lectures on the "Green Fairy"—such as the one held last September at the prestigious National Gallery of Umbria.

Caroline Baglioni, an actress and writer born in Perugia, performed in Sarah Kane’s *Cleansed* (*Purificati*), directed by Antonio Latella, in 2007. After graduating as an actress/performer from the University Theater Center (CUT) in Perugia in 2008, she earned a degree in Anthropology. In 2012, she joined the theater research group *La Società dello Spettacolo*, collaborating with them until 2017. With her monologue *Gianni*, she won the *Premio Scenario per Ustica* (2015), the *Premio In-Box* (2016), and the *Premio Museo Cervi* (2017). This success marked the beginning of an artistic partnership with Michelangelo Bellani; together, they co-wrote and produced *Mio padre non è ancora nato* (2018) and *Sempre verde* (2019), completing a trilogy dedicated to blood ties. Alongside this work, she collaborates with the *Compagnia dei Giovani* of the *Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria* and has appeared in various productions directed by Danilo Nigrelli, Antonio Latella, Liv Ferracchiati, and Andrea Baracco. In 2019, she won the "Under-40 Authors" call for entries at the Venice Biennale Theatre with the play , which was translated into French in 2020 for the Maison Antoine Vitez. In 2020, she was a finalist for the Virginia Reiter Award for Best Actress Under 35.

Filippo Ciccioli is a musician, composer, and sound designer. A graduate in Jazz/Popular Music guitar from the Saint Louis College of Music, he has long combined concert performance and production work with intensive research into music for media and sound design for live performance. Over the years, he has actively collaborated with various theatre companies, festivals, and bands, creating original scores and sound designs for theatrical productions and multimedia performances. Alongside his work as a composer, he is actively engaged in teaching and music education.
