It's May 28, 2021, the pandemic finally comes to an end and Elda finds herself taking stock of her life. A series of strange coincidences, or perhaps pranks of fate, take her back in time, making her relive her life, in a carousel of absurd, funny, happy, sad, sometimes touching memories.

In a skillful work of self-fiction, precariously balanced between glimpses of reality and fictional yet utterly plausible stories, the author thus draws the reader into a semi-serious and grotesque, at times surreal, account of the protagonist's relationship with “the other”, a relationship that will gradually take on different aspects and weights depending on her age. “Uselessly cool” is a condition of being, a way of thinking and acting, that always leads you to make mistakes or do the wrong thing, when you know very well which would be the right one.
