The show was born from a personal need: I am a 36-year-old woman and I have no children. Probably nothing exceptional nowadays, and yet in some ways yes. I think that it is still a taboo in our society to talk about the choice of not having children and that it is often presented as a painful choice or as a lack. Abortion is also still experienced as a taboo and this makes it an even more painful experience for many women, an experience that is not shared, it is lived in most cases in silence and solitude. My desire is to investigate these themes by giving them a dignity that has nothing to do with drama, I would like to try honestly to tell and take the position of a woman who simply does not feel the desire to be a mother and, in fact, even decides to terminate a pregnancy because she feels that this is the right thing to do.
