The show, which lasts about 90 minutes, is divided into three parts (three pictures) and revolves around a single character, a famous actor called Nemesio Rea. In the first painting, Historia de Oddi, bifolcho", Nemesio interprets a text of his own, written in authentic thirteenth-century vernacular. It is the story of a Tuscan farmer who participated in the terrible battle of Montaperti in which Siena and Florence collided. In the second painting, "The actor and the good God," we find Nemesio in his dressing room, getting dressed, preparing to go on stage. But it’s not the show that speaks to us, but of the just happened violent breakup with his wife, between tears, cries and insults. In the third painting, "Er cane de via del Fosso d'a Maijana", we find Nemesio living happily in a garbage can. He left everything, his profession and his old life. He decided, like the Greek philosopher Diogenes, to refuse any ambition and possession in order to be free to speak of the true meaning of life.
