La Bohème

Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème, performed for the first time in Turin on February 1, 1896, with a libretto by Illica and Giacosa, has, as its literary source, the serialized novel "Scenes de la vie de Bohème" by the French Henry Murger, published in 1851: a highly successful novel. A novel about the "beat generation" of Paris in 1830. The critics targeted the opera but the public success was great. And it is a success that has lasted from then until today. The proposed staging is presented in a light scenic form and a reduced orchestral ensemble, the DQ Opera Ensemble of Rome, conducted by Maestro Claudio Inchul Shin. The direction is by the Korean Hyesang Yoo. The cast is international and includes singers of clear fame both Italian and Korean.
