"The Nutcracker" is a metaphor for the growth of the girl who in the dream becomes a teenager. The choreographer has made a reinterpretation of it all focused on Clara. The Nutcracker is one of those works that has been revisited countless times but this new version is certainly one of the most moving because the transition from adolescence to adulthood staged by the choreographer becomes a real and proper all the little boys, and is extremely touching because it gives even adults a memory or hope.

This exhibition also shows how the neoclassical language can be used to offer a completely adequate reinterpretation of contemporary society. Characterized by a sweet atmosphere, by an expectation of wonderful events but also frightening, by the incomposable discord between reality and fairy tale, between the ego and the world, between day and night, This story has a very special charm and inspired the ballet of Christmas par excellence.

The company ALMATANZ was founded in 1982, and in its first fifteen years it has been dedicated to projects of various types: theatre - dance -opera - music. Many productions of great success, we mention some: "Scarpette Rosse" (national premiere at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and the Teatro Argentina in Rome), and the Festival of the two worlds of Spoleto with the production "Zorba the Greek". In 1998 Luigi Martelletta, first dancer at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, became its president, and together with the ensemble composed of 14 dancers he has put on numerous projects of great interest and absolute originality , continuing in all these years to support the various lines of research both classic - neoclassical - contemporary - dance research. In these years there have been many artists who took part in our productions, first of all Raffaele Paganini with whom the collaboration began in 1998 and is still alive thanks to the many productions.
