Event information
Anime Motrici is a choreographic work that will see on stage at the Bertolt Brecht Theatre in Perugia the students of the higher and professional courses of Classical, Contemporary and Modern Dance of the Academy of Dance and Performing Arts ADAP based in Ponte San Giovanni (PG).
With original choreographies by Aurora Verzini, teacher of the Classical and Modern Dance courses as well as ADAP Director and Diletta Duranti, teacher of the Contemporary Dance courses and assistant to Debora Renzi, Anime Motrici was born to give the opportunity to perform in a professional way to all those students who in the construction of their future choose to walk together with dance, through a performance created ad hoc on their bodies, Their emotional, technical and artistic abilities.
"We consider the body as the first objective of rational thought, so that dance appears as the most appropriate way of expression of being.
Dancing means to merge the physical, psychic and spiritual dimensions, expression of a unique reality, thus becoming coherent expression of all the elements of the person."
From "The soul and the dance" by Paul Valéry

Teatro Bertold Brecht - Perugia
Inaugurated in 2009, the Bertolt Brecht Theater was built in the populous San Sisto neighborhood, an area affected by important urban and social changes. It stands next to the Sandro Penna Library and is the result of a major investment by the municipal administration to provide the city with a new functional and modern space, a cultural center that, together with the library, is capable of giving new impetus to the neighborhood. It has a capacity of 332 seats, 264 in the stalls plus 2 spaces for the disabled and 68 seats in the gallery.
